Manchester United give new deals to two key players

Ibrahimovic and Fellaini contracts at Old Trafford will run out at the end of the season. Manchester United have given new contract deals of Ashley Young and Daley Blind, according to Manchester Evening News.
Young, Blind and Aston Villa loanee Sam Johnstone, are now signed up until the end of next season.
However, the futures of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marouane Fellaini remain unresolved as both players are yet to be given an extens ion at Old Trafford. Ibrahimovic and Fellaini contracts are due at the end of the season as both players are likely to leave the club with suitors lurking.
Michael Carrick is also out of contract, but he is expected to retire and join the back room staff at the end of the current campaign.
At 32, Young, has established himself as Jose Mourinho's first choice at left back position this season, ahead of once prodigious young talent Luke Shaw. Blind and Johnstone are both likely to leave this season, but United will now be able to cash in if an offer comes for the pair.
The former Ajax defender has just featured four minutes in the Premier League action this season, while Villa are keen to sign Johnstone on a permanent deal after an impressive season the Championship.
By Jose Mourinho's standards, United's present status in the Premier League have been disappointing so far as they trail their Manchester neighbours by 13 points as their realistic chase to the title could be out of reach.
However, the Old Trafford outfit, are still in contention for two trophies after securing a last eight qualification in the FA Cup and a step away from the Champions League quarter finals.
