Chelsea, Arsenal battle to sign the most successful Italian manager next season


Chelsea, Arsenal set to sign Ancelotti as their manager next season.
Reports have it that both Chelsea and Arsenal have lined up Carlo Ancelotti as their manager to be for next season.
The Italian coach have had spells with Chelsea in the past winning the Premier League and the FA Cup.

Arsenal supporters also believe Ancelotti is a stand out replacement for Wenger who has spent 22 years with the club.

Chelsea and Arsenal are in hot pursuit of Italian manager, Carlo Ancelotti, in the summer, the Express reports.
According to the Express, 58-year-old Ancelotti, was spotted at Stamford Bridge recently with Abramovich which is believed the Italian is a negotiating his return to Stamford Bridge.
The former Bayern Munich coach enjoyed success during his time with the Blues from 2009 to 2011 winning the league and the FA Cup in his first season.

Former Barcelona coach, Luis Enrique, is also in line to become Conte's successor as the Spaniard has not been employed since he left the Catalan club last summer.
Both London clubs have been disappointing by their standards and the pair are currently looking to change their coaches respectively.
Reports from the Emirates stated that the chair of the Arsenal Independent Supporter's Association Lois Langton has welcomed a move for the ex-AC Milan coach.

She said: “I think that many supporters would say, if asked, that Ancelotti would be the stand-out candidate in the event that the current manager steps down.
“He has the status, nous, expertise and experience of the Premier League and you would like to think would bring with him the defensive and tactical acumen that would address some of our long identified problems."
Antonio Conte has not been able to replicate Chelsea's title winning exploits in the 2016/17 season in his second spell at the London club following a series of poor results and, Italian might be shown the door at the end of the season.

Arsene Wenger, on the other hand, signed a new deal last summer after being in charge for 21 years, but following the defeat to Manchester City at the Carabao Cup, there have been reports his position will be reviewed.
The Blues and the Gunners are currently languishing in fifth and sixth positions respectively, and by the end of the summer, it will be decision of the board of both clubs that will determine the future of their managers.
