Man City Complete Signing Of Aymeric Laporte From Atletico Bilbao For £57m (Photos)

Premier League leaders, Manchester City have completed the signing of Athletic Bilbao defender, Aymeric Laporte for club record of £57m.


Discussions have been on to lure the 23-year-old to the premier League.


He told City’s website, “I am very happy to be here.


“City are a club with a lot of ambition and they are one of the best teams in Europe.


“I am looking forward to working under Pep Guardiola and trying to help the club to achieve success.


“It means a lot that the club have shown faith in me and I am excited to get started.”

Nigeria have named an inexperienced 23-man squad for the African Nations Championship ahead of the home-based Super Eagles' third successive tournament appearance.
