Planes are not allowed to fly over Lionel Messi's mansion in Barcelona and this has caused serious problems -
Messi's mansion hindering airport expansion in Barcelona. President of El Prat airport, Javier Sanchez-Prieto, has lamented they can not economically grow becasue of Lionel Messi. The airport needed to expand its runways to accommodate more aircrafts as it is one of Europe's busiest hubs. Messi's house is 10 kilometres away from the airport and planes are restricted to fly above where he lives. President of a low cost Spanish airline in Barcelona, Javier Sanchez-Prieto, has lamented that the airport could not be expanded because planes are not allowed to fly over Lionel Messi's house . El Prat airport were hoping to add extra runways to allow more flights to come in and out of the Catalan city as its one of Europe's busiest hubs and airline bosses. Messi with a host of Barcelona stars lives in an area called Castelldefels and it is a desirable neighbourhood located just 10 kilometres from the airport.
